Dr. Eric Martin
Professional Eye Care was established by
Dr. Eric Martin, a 1996 Ohio State University College of Optometry graduate, back in 1999. Over the 25+ years of business, Dr. Martin has remained dedicated to providing great eye care in a friendly, comfortable environment. Dr. Eric Martin is a member of the American Optometric Association and is also the president of Practice Management Associates.
Over the years, he has had the opportunity to participate in vision mission trips, bringing much-needed eye care to communities around the world. In his own words -
"It is through these experiences that have deepened my love for optometry and reminded me of the importance of providing care with compassion."
Dr. Erin Henson
Joining the practice in March of 2026,
Dr. Erin Henson amplifies the Professional Eye Care mission of providing compassionate care to our local communities.
Dr. Erin Henson earned her Doctor of Optometry at the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2023. She is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association.
She is passionate about providing comprehensive care with an emphasis on prevantative medicine.
Dr. Henson also has the honor to care for the residents at the Ohio Veterans Home where she is the contracted Optometrist, filling in
Dr. Martin's previous role held since 1996.

Giving Back to Our Community
At Professional Eye Care, we believe in the importance of giving back to the community we serve. Dr. Martin and our team are passionate about helping people access quality eye care.
Here are some ways we’re making a difference:
- Global Eye Mission Trips: Dr. Martin regularly participates in mission trips, providing essential eye care to underserved communities worldwide in partnership with Cross Eyed Missions.
- RealEYES Program: We partner with local schools through the RealEYES program, educating students about the importance of eye health and healthy vision habits
- Huron Lions Club Partnership: We collaborate with the Huron Lions Club to collect and repurpose used eyeglasses. These glasses are then distributed on mission trips, providing a second chance at sight for those in need.
- Staff Optometrist at the Ohio Veterans Home: Dr. Martin has been dedicated to serving those who served since 1996, providing comprehensive eye care and managing eye disease. Dr. Martin is committed to caring for our veterans’ vision needs on Fridays.
